When anybody mentions the word women, you generally think of your own mother. The first loving and caring person you will ever know. And because you spend the entire first part of your life with this person, you think that all women will of the same type as your mother. But as you grow older you find that this is not how things are. In recent years Western women in general have become a lot more focused on their careers and very independent. Russian women are very different.

Although this could be generalizing, for the most part it is true that Eastern people have different mentalities compared to Western peoples. The Eastern attitude is still very much like it was of Western people long ago in the past. It is wrong to say that every person from a country is exactly the same but Russians do share personality traits. In the women it’s these traits that make them the most sensitive and caring in the world.

All throughout history the women of Russia have stood out. It has always been the women who have held together families and communities during times of hardship. It is times like these that show a persons true character. They are widely known to have one of the most protective and caring cultures in the world. It is communism which is thought to be the main factor behind this mentality. Very strong family values are learned when brought up in a communist society. Self dedication, responsibility and helping the community are also all considered very worthy traits for a person to have. One of the greatest things a person can do in this society is to help another. Even if it’s detrimental to themselves. These things have been passed down to daughter from mother and will continue to do so.

A lot of women in Russia are treated very badly by men. The men grow up benefiting from the good nature of the women and begin to take them for granted. A Russian wife, as well as working from eight to five every day, is expected to take care of the kids, cook all the food and clean the home all on her own.

With the end of the cold war, western influences have begun to appear in Russia. And the women there are beginning to realize that not all men treat their wives the way that they do in the East. A lot of women in Russia have heard stories of very happy lives in foreign countries. Most women have a friend or have heard of someone that has married a foreign man and now loves their new life abroad.

The women of Russia, when they hear these stories of love and romance, are starting to realise that they deserve to be treated much better than they currently are. When treated kindly and with love and affection, they quickly become the most dedicated and appreciative wives who live solely for their husbands.
